On Saturday, September 30, 2006, The Library Director of the Hillsdale Library run as far as he can throughout Hillsdale and Bergen County to raise funds for the Hillsdale Library and the Bergen County Cooperative Library System Scholarship fund for future librarians.

The run will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the Hillsdale Library. The marathon course will progress throughout Bergen County, passing 15 other public libraries before returning to Hillsdale. The course will then continue on a one mile loop around Beechwood Park until or before 8:00 p.m. Come out to Hillsdale's Day In the Park and encourage Dave to run an extra mile for libraries.

The Hillsdale Library serves all BCCLS patrons. The BCCLS Scholarship Funds are awarded to students pursuing degrees in Library Studies.

If you love libraries, consider an extra dollar for an extra mile. Funds will be distributed equally between the two organizations. All donations are tax deductible.

If you would like to become a corporate sponsor of this event, then please send an e-mail message to Dave Franz (franz@bccls.org).
