We will help you learn to use the library
We can get books, journal articles, and microfilm from almost anywhere.
If you can't find a book in the Bergen County Cooperative Library System, then request an Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Items may arrive anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. Photocopies of journal articles may also be requested. We can also obtain ERIC documents from the Phillipsburg Public Library (microfiche only - no paper copies).
We can find the information you need
The library offers reference assistance in person, over the telephone, and by e-mail. Whether you need contact information for a corporation or government agency, or have to settle a bet over a
bit of trivia, our staff can provide you with the fast facts you need, or will refer you to the proper authority, agency, or service. The Library also has access to statewide reference
services. These are provided primarily by the Newark Public
Library. Other services are described on the New Jersey State Library web site. Patrons must initiate their requests through the
local library.
24-7 SERVICES AVAILABLE TO YOU
You may visit or call the library during regular hours.
You may fax the library at (201) 358-5074.
If you wish to submit your own question to our staff, then please send an e-mail message to franz@bccls.org. This e-mail address is checked throughout the day. Questions submitted after hours during the week will be answered the following morning. If a quick reply is needed, it is best to call the library directly.
Night owls can search the library catalog from home and submit requests for items. Several magazine databases are also available from home. See the BCCLS website for the full list of available databases.
