Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Bella's life changes dramatically when she decides to move to Forks, WA and live with her Dad. Here is what she has to say about it,
"About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there
was a part of him - and I didn't know how dominant that part might be - that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him."
A wonderfully evocative and suspenseful romance. Many readers told me this was their favorite book of 2005. It has already been optioned to be made into a movie and there are two sequels in the works.
I actually listened to this on CD, so if you're in the mood to be read to, grab the audio version. If you are looking for another vampire book try: The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause, Sweetblood by Pete Hautman, or Got Fangs? by Katie Maxwell. Another book that you may enjoy (although there are no fanged characters) is A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libby Bray.
